Brief Overview of the Event
The Global Help Foundation Model United Nations (GHF MUN) Bagmati Province 2024, held from December 14 to 16 at Hotel Sarathi, Dhulikhel, brought together 59 participants, aged 14-24 years, for an intellectually enriching experience. With a focus on pressing global and local issues, the event provided a platform for young minds to engage in diplomacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Delegates simulated four key committees: the International Press (IP), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the House of Representatives (FPN), debating and crafting resolutions on topics ranging from global refugee displacement to climate resilience. The event culminated in the formation of a draft bill in the FPN committee, which was handed over to the Secretary-General of GHF MUN 2024 for further consideration.
